Precinct Voting & No Machines

As a frustrated citizen, I stand before you to emphasize the importance of returning to precinct voting & paper ballot voting systems by the next election statewide.

Precinct Voting coupled with No Machines allows for

  1. Greatest ballot security never leave the building to be transported to a central count location
  2. Precincts restricted to 2000 registered voters, allows for adequately estimating voter turnout and properly staffing the polls so all counting is finished within an acceptable time
  3. Budgeting for cost to conduct an election is easily calculated.
  4. Paper ballots supply a tangible and transparent record of each vote cast
  5. Elimination of electronic malfunctions
  6. Elimination of software vulnerabilities
  7. Elimination of potential interference, thereby enhancing the reliability and trustworthiness of our elections. (overseas)
  8. Entire process is transparent and open to poll watchers
  9. Electoral outcome is accurate
  10. Reliability and validity instill confidence that each vote cast counts
  11. Immediate local community engagement together by conducting and participating in promotion of their civic duties. There is a wait list in Travis County.

Texas has shown proof of concept in two counties: Gillespie and Travis, yes even Travis. God bless those brave patriots standing up for what is right.

It is time to return to a practice that had been honed and perfected for over 100 years and that we used not too long ago. The time for action has come. Thank you.

Q&A

Precinct voting was designed for security and manageability for timely results. Ballots were originally intended to be counted at the precinct level. This ensures ballot security as they never leave the building to be transported to a central count location. The entire process is transparent and open to poll watchers.

With precincts restricted to 2000 registered voters, it allows to adequately estimate voter turnout and properly staff the polls to be finished counting within an acceptable time. Budgeting for cost to conduct an election is easily calculated. You also have the immediate local community engagement together conducting and participating in promotion of their civic duties.

It does take more people to operate at that level in large cities, but citizens are ready to answer the call of service if asked. The Fredericksburg hand count primary success is easily scalable.

Americans, not American’ts

Will to do it, solutions to problems will come. Not that long ago we used paper and hand counts.

Precincts logistical concerned 8,000 doesn’t matter volume, small voting precinct, 2,000 voters, team of 10 could process that many voters in a day within 24hrs. 3 weeks didn’t decrease participating and disenfranchised don’t come back.  Security can be time consuming. Worse in vote is not counted or cast.

Sen Hall recommends increased accountability and transparency, NOT THE REMOVAL of the machines, need a response. Will need a court order. Jerusalem Court Case before US Supreme Court for standing. The process has been worked out with the SOS, legality and method.

Documents obtained by WhoWhatWhy show that, about 40 days before the 2020 election, the federal Election Assistance Commission (EAC) quietly investigated concerns that ES&S’s software installation and validation methods could have left touch-screen voting systems in up to 19 states vulnerable to the installation of malicious or otherwise unapproved software. The documents also suggest that ES&S may have initially misled election officials about this issue.
