Dear Voters:
There’s been a lot of confusion as to where your secret ballot number is located. It’s on the back side of the ballot at the bottom near a set of stamped initials. If you don’t have a number, stop everything and tell the judge you need a new ballot with a number on it. They will spoil that ballot and provide you with a new one. For future reference, write down your ballot number and keep it.
Take your personal, sample ballot in with you so you can compare what you’re voting to what is on YOUR personal, sample ballot. Ballots are different based on where you live so your ballot will be different than the samples, laying on the table. After voting, compare your sample to the ballot you voted making sure all candidates were on your ballot. Print your ballot and check again before scanning. Spending a few extra minutes could mean voting for who you intended or who you didn’t intend to vote for.
