Mechanics first. A cigar that fails to light evenly, draw cleanly, or burn to the end is not worth the rest of the conversation. This one passed. It took the three-flame torch without protest, opened with an easy draw, and showed no tongue bite. The burn stayed even across a measured forty-five minutes. Ted finished the final third and confirmed the construction held.
The light Connecticut wrapper delivered a mild, approachable profile. Soft caramel arrived early, followed by a quiet allspice note and a gentle vanilla sweetness that never turned sharp. It remained refined from first light to the last ash. I tend to prefer medium-colored wrappers for their smoother character, yet this light leaf performed with quiet confidence.
Paired simply with sparkling water so the cigar could speak without interference. Eagle Rare 12 waited nearby for the closer.
Ted’s verdict was straightforward: good, not too harsh, and a solid stick to keep in the box, especially during Aggie football season and the high-hope days of fall camp in August.
